TELA are an alliance of primary and secondary schools across Leicestershire working together for mutual improvement.We currently have over 40 schools across 6 MATs who are dedicated to improving outcomes for all young people. Achieve with TELA is a primary and secondary teacher training provider. We can offer courses across the subject ranges as well as support with school experience
TELA offers a range of continual professional development opportunities for secondary and primary colleagues in both leadership and pedagogy strands, including NPQs.
Our own nationally accredited TELA NPQs run until Spring 2022 and we are continuing to deliver these programmes and assessment support until this date for those already registered with us - contact npq@thomasestley.org.uk with any queries. We cannot accept any new delegates onto our TELA NPQ programmes.
The established TELA NPQ delivery team are now the official NPQ delivery team of the Leicester & Leicestershire Teaching School Hub who have chosen Teach First for the delivery of the new and reformed NPQs starting in September 2021. TELA offers school to school support in a variety of ways, which can be accessed by schools inside and outside the alliance. School to school support ranges from focus visits/lesson observation involvement, through leadership support and specific project work, to full NLE deployment action plans targeted at moving to a higher OFSTED category. We also have a comprehensive peer review programme which can be tailored to your schools needs.
