Become A Teacher

Get School Experience

School experience programme at Thomas Estley Community College and Badgerbrook Primary School.

School experience is essential if you are interested in becoming a Primary or Secondary teacher.

You’ll need to gain as much experience in the classroom as possible in order to strengthen your application and prepare you for potential interviews.

Getting some experience in a school before you apply for teacher training will provide you with an invaluable insight into what teaching is really like through observing classes and shadowing teachers.

Quotes from our School Experience Visitors

“Everyone who is seriously considering teaching should complete a well-structured programme like the one offered with TELA as it allows you to truly and honestly see all aspects, positive and negative, to teaching and teacher training, something purely observational work nor volunteering comes close to matching.”
